"I have known John Fagan for many years, and he is a great friend. Due to the pandemic, I was unable to return to Vermont while selling my home in Stowe. I asked John to take all my wine cellar with very good wines and help me sell them. It was a wonderful experience. John took my wines as his own and stored them in his cellar. There he studied and gave a value to the bottles and later sold them to collectors who appreciate good wines. I highly recommend his work and honesty. My name is Manelick de la Parra and my email is xxxxxx@gmail.com* if you need more information." - Manelick de la Parra, Singer/ Actor (*email available on request)
“We were in a pickle! Moving to West Coast with a cellar full of wine here in Stowe. Couldn’t bring it all with us. John to the rescue! Efficiently and professionally, he assisted us in disbursing the cellar and we now have enough money to start filling our new one. It was totally amazing, and we got to drink great bottles of old Oregon Pinot! He is exceptional!” - Rodger Kessler PhD
Personal Wine Concierge
While I have long helped hotels and restaurants deal with no-longer-needed wine inventory and acquisition of more appropriate goods, lately I’ve been called upon to provide my services for private collectors and new wine enthusiasts. Here are a few things I can do:
Cellar Liquidation: A client wishes to sell part or all of his collection in a legal, discreet, and hassle-free manner. Until recently the client would have to pay for temperature-controlled shipping to the one of the traditional auction houses that sell, art, real estate, antiques, wine, etc. The auction house would then provide an estimate of what the wine might sell for at an auction sometime in the future. High Estimates are never guaranteed and rarely achieved but often trap collectors with unrealistic expectations. In contrast, I inspect and catalogue the wines in place and provide a realistic estimate. If the client agrees, I then arrange free shipping to my associates who, after a final inspection make a firm offer to the client. If he agrees, a check is sent usually within 30 days. No waiting for the wine to be auctioned. And the client usually gets a much better price for the wines.
Wine Tastings, Themed Wine Dinners: I can host fun and informative wine tastings and wine themed dinners for you and your friends, associates, or clients, using my wine or yours.
Please let me know what I can do for you.
